As the organization in charge of developing and promoting the Youth Step Up coalition, Challengers of Oldham County is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization and has been providing substance abuse prevention services in Oldham County for over 20 years.  Challengers is the only organization in Oldham County that focuses specifically on substance abuse prevention.  Challengers is supported by an all-volunteer board and an all-volunteer coalition from all sectors of the community.  Local residents work closely with city and county governments, local businesses, parents, civic groups, law enforcement, social services, healthcare workers, churches, and schools.

We want to use our Youth Step Up coalition and team members to help disseminate substance abuse information to all our middle and high schools in as many ways as possible.  The more we are able to get substance abuse information to our students, youth and parents, the better chance we have of helping prevent alcohol, tobacco, drug, and prescription drug abuse.

We will work to implement programs in each middle & high school in Oldham County that bring awareness to the issue of drug, alcohol, tobacco & prescription drug use and abuse!
